On October 31, 2008, Crosstex Energy, L.P. issued a press release (the “Press Release”)
announcing that on November 14, 2008 it will pay a quarterly distribution of $0.50 per unit to its
unitholders of record on November 10, 2008, and to update other recent events. A copy of the Press
Release is furnished as an exhibit to this Current Report. In accordance with General Instruction
