DALLAS, May 27, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Crosstex Energy, L.P. (NASDAQ: XTEX) (the Partnership) and Crosstex Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: XTXI) (the Corporation) announced today that the Boards of Directors of both entities have elected Barry E. Davis Chairman of the Board of Crosstex Energy GP, LLC (the general partner of Crosstex Energy GP, L.P., the general partner of the Partnership) and Chairman of the Board of the Corporation. The Chairman position is added to Davis' present duties as President and Chief Executive Officer of both Crosstex companies.

In addition, Bryan H. Lawrence, formerly Chairman of both Boards, will serve as the Lead Director on the Board of Crosstex Energy, Inc., and Rhys J. Best will serve as the Lead Director on the Board of Crosstex Energy GP, LLC. Both Boards elected Leldon E. Echols Chairman of their Audit Committees.

Crosstex Management Appointments

Stan Golemon has joined Crosstex Energy, L.P. as Senior Vice President of Engineering & Operations, and Jennifer Johnson has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Development. Golemon and Johnson report to Bob Purgason, Crosstex Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Golemon has 23 years of diversified experience in the upstream and midstream sectors of the energy industry. During his career, he has held various management positions with Arco, Arrington Corporation and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Most recently, Golemon led midstream engineering efforts for Anadarko's southern division. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Gas Processors Association.

Johnson joined Crosstex in 2004 as Vice President of Human Resources and Organization development. A key member of Crosstex's management team, she has helped lead the organization through a period of tremendous growth while enhancing the company's human resources capabilities. Johnson has more than 24 years of operations and human resources experience in various industries. She is a member of the Southern Gas Association's Human Resources Executive Committee.
